My Mission
This ePortfolio is more than a reflection of my journey; it is a living example of what is possible when passion, purpose, and dedication coexist.

Insight 1: Lead by Example
During a personal external challenge—an accident that temporarily left me unable to walk—I faced significant physical and emotional challenges, including helplessness, trauma, and uncertainty about my future. Medical advice and rehabilitation addressed only the physical aspects, leaving emotional and spiritual challenges unaddressed. As I reflect back, giving up was not an option for me.
The sudden epiphany that bridged the road to natural healing changed everything. Through kinesiology and herbal medicine courses, I learned to integrate body movements, natural remedies, and emotional intelligence into my recovery. This journey allowed me to uncover my hidden legacy and embrace strengths I never knew I had. These insights help to keep wellbeing as a constant presence in my life.
Understanding leadership is all about recognizing life milestones and investing in others—focusing on what can truly make an impact..
focusing on what can truly make an impact.

-
Encouraging others to see beyond the veil of limitations and recognize their potential.
-

This insight demonstrates how confronting and resolving external problems can shape leadership, foster resilience, and empower others through lived experience.

Insight 2: Empower Through Holistic Practices
During my recovery, I struggled with stress, fatigue, and anxiety while trying to balance coursework and daily life. These challenges were real external problems that tested my emotional and physical limits. I found that practices like earthing, fasting, and positive self-talk helped me regain balance and support both my emotional and physical healing. Research backs this up too—grounding reduces stress hormones (Chevalier et al., 2015), and fasting supports cellular repair (Longo & Panda, 2016).
This journey inspired me to help others. I now guide clients in connecting with nature and using preventative strategies to overcome the problem of limited science-based wellness programs. Sharing these holistic approaches empowers them to take control of their wellbeing and integrate practical, natural methods into their daily lives.
Key Takeaways:

This insight shows how facing real-life problems can shape growth, guide others, and create lasting change in health and wellness.

Insight 3: Teaching Children Through Play
Working with children revealed the impact of childhood adversity and presented the external challenge of keeping them engaged while promoting healthy habits. These struggles highlighted real problems in early childhood education and wellness. By combining functional movement with playful activities, I addressed and overcame the engagement problem. Research also shows that play increases learning retention by over 50 percent (Harvard Center on the Developing Child, 2022).
Insightfulness, as the eternal light and spiritual guidance, influenced the positive changes in my approach. This experience allowed me to demonstrate leadership in early childhood wellness by creating fun, effective programs that encourage a lifestyle of healthy behaviors.

Problem Solving
Integrating Mind, Body, and Spirit: Insights from Holistic Wellness
Throughout this academic journey, I learned that real wellness is the balance of mind, body, and spirit. My coursework in kinesiology, herbal medicine, and holistic health became meaningful when life presented challenges that required applying what I learned. Three key experiences—recovering from an injury, restoring balance through nature, and supporting young children—each revealed a problem that guided my growth.
Relearning Movement and Rebuilding Confidence
After an accident left me temporarily unable to walk, I faced fear, frustration, and a loss of independence. The physical issue was clear, but the deeper problem was emotional—I struggled to believe in my ability to recover. I combined kinesiology knowledge with herbal practices, affirmations, and faith-based healing. This blend of movement, mindset, and spirituality helped rebuild my strength and confidence. I learned that true recovery begins with belief and alignment, not just physical therapy.
Returning to Nature to Restore Balance
During a stressful season, I realized that although I studied wellness, my lifestyle was out of sync. I felt drained and disconnected from myself. Turning to grounding, meditation, and fasting helped me reset my energy and reconnect with natural rhythms. By applying lessons from my wellness courses, I created healthier routines that supported my mental clarity and spiritual grounding. This taught me that wellness problems often come from imbalance, and the solution is a consistent, intentional lifestyle.
Guiding Young Children Through Play and Movement
Working with children ages three to five showed me how difficult it can be to keep young learners engaged. Traditional methods weren’t meeting their needs. Using principles from Kinesiology 120, I introduced game-based activities that blended movement with creativity.
The children became more focused, joyful, and confident. I learned that play is one of the
most powerful tools for holistic development.
Conclusion
These experiences—healing, rebalancing, and teaching—each began with a problem that required knowledge, creativity, and introspection. They shaped my understanding of holistic wellness and strengthened my identity as someone committed to integrating mind, body, and spirit in every part of life.
